The divide between black and white – Insuperable?
What has to happen to overcome the segregation between the two colours black and white? Certainly a lot! Not only politicians have to solve problems, but also every person in America - no the whole world - has to make his or her contribution.
The first step would be, to increase the awareness of people, that there is still a divide: Most people don’t even acknowledge it, the law can be forced, the attitute of every single one can’t. There has definitley been signs of this, like the “no racism” badges on football or soccer trikots. And yes, this are just little steps, but they are most definitley into the right direction. Also: If I can recognize this things others can, too.
Another important point is in my opinion, to include more different and other cultures into our society. This would make in this case black people feel much more comfortable and integrated, and as a result solve many conflicts, between the two races.
But alone the fact that everyone of us, including me, somehow divides between the two skin colours, is a problem. It starts with the children playing together, they meet, recognize some difference between them, and probably won’t become friends or at least play with each other. That’s not just the case in this black-white debate, it is also amongst disabled and “normal” persons, just mentioned to make my point clear. This are not mistakes, one makes, or someones fault, they are results of how we were raised. So the next step, after increasing the awareness in our generation, it should be thaught to kids in the earliest age, as possible. That is not just the mission of parents, but especially of every state-institution, most of them of course schools. To give an example teacher could get an extra course how to teach the children about this topic, that wouldn’t be closly to much effort.
But to let things like this happen, our younger generation must have more power to make decisions. The obviously much more open minded youth would have to get included, but this is another political issue, we should debate about much more. You can hopefully see my point: We, our society need fresh ideas, opinions and as the most important point, innovation!
Now our government has the responsibility, to change something or at least push it into the right direction!
